The X-Prize/X-Cup exhibit describes the competition that led "Space Ship One" to become the first manned commercial ship to journey into space and return safely. The X Prize Cup is an ongoing contest hosted by the state of New Mexico in partnership with the X Prize Foundation. Panels illustrate the numerous challenges of speed, distance, and efficiency to teams of civilian competitors.

There is also a case of personal items flown on the space shuttle.
