The Clyde W. Tombaugh IMAX Dome Theater and Planetarium at the New Mexico Museum of Space History will be closed on Monday, April 30, Tuesday, May 1, and Wednesday, May 2, 2012, for maintenance on the Spitz starfield projector. The Spitz starfield projector is capable of showing the night sky on any one given date in history or in the present. It is primarily used to enhance planetarium programs. Planetarium programs are offered on a daily basis, rotating hourly with the classic IMAX movie Hubble beginning May 3. The planetarium program is also offered on a reservation basis through the New Mexico Space Academy to schools and other groups.
