First time event promises bright future
The New Mexico Museum of Space will host Congressman Steve Pearce’s Women’s Economic Forum this Friday morning, Oct. 12, beginning at 8:00 am in the Clyde W. Tombaugh IMAX Dome Theater. Pearce will be discussing women’s economic issues with groups in seven communities around southern New Mexico via live web conferencing. This will be the first virtual forum ever held in the theater.
“We are very excited to have been chosen by Congressman Pearce’s office as the host site for this event,” said Museum Executive Director Chris Orwoll. “This will give us an opportunity to polish our web conferencing skills and offer this service to other organizations within the community.” The Museum regularly rents out the theater and other facilities to groups who wish to hold conferences, meetings, receptions and other events. “The addition of the virtual forum ability will add a significant factor to what we have to offer and provide an exciting venue to groups in the area.”
Congressman Pearce’s Women’s Economic begins at 8:00 am and seating is limited. A live webstream will be broadcast on www.alamogordolive.net simultaneously. “We appreciate the skill and assistance of the AlamogordoLive team for this event,” said Orwoll.
