Buck Rogers is Alive and Well: The New Commercial Space Industry
Free Launch Pad Lecture Friday June 6
(Alamogordo, New Mexico) - Will your kids or grandkids take vacations in space or maybe even work there? Will space travel become an everyday occurrence like air travel? Is the future of space travel for the average person finally here after decades of dreaming? Today’s new commercial space industry is striving to make all that, and more, a reality. Join Museum of Space History Executive Director Chris Orwoll this Friday as he presents the June Launch Pad Lecture: Buck Rogers is Alive and Well: The New Commercial Space Industry.
The Launch Pad Lecture is free to the public and starts at 9:00 am on the first floor of the museum. Coffee and donuts are compliments of the International Space Hall of Fame Foundation. The next lecture will be on Friday, June 6, and the topic will be Flying High: Joe Kittinger to Felix Baumgartner with Museum Education Specialist Michael Shinabery.
