New Mexico Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League Star Party — This is a public star party supported by the Museum of Space History’s Astronomy League and Museum Educators. Along with the normal array of telescopes, there will be big screen live viewing of astronomic objects as well as the usual visual observing. This event is free to the public and will be held at the NMMSH Outdoor Observatory in the upper parking lot. Climb the Cube! 9/11 Remembrance Commemoration Ceremony

Climb the Cube! 9/11 Remembrance Commemoration Ceremony.  The New Mexico Museum of Space History is honored to host the community’s annual 9.11 Memorial Stair Climb in conjunction with the City of Alamogordo Fire Department and area first responders. Teams of up to four participants climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center in tribute to the fallen heroes of Sept. 11. Firefighters and first responders from across the region are expected to participate.
